Andy Cohen Wasn't Surprised by Lisa Vanderpump's 'RHOBH' Exit, Plus: His Son's Latest Milestone
It was a big night for Andy Cohen as he celebrated his hit Bravo show, “Watch What Happens Live,” at the Paley Center.
Cohen is also involved in the "Housewives" franchise, and weighed in on Lisa Vanderpump's recent exit from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." He admitted to "Extra" on Thursday, "I wasn't necessarily surprised… I am very sorry to see her go.”
The 51-year-old also opened up on his BFF, Anderson Cooper, who lost his fashion icon mother Gloria Vanderbilt this week. Cohen shared, “He and I worked out together today and we are at the Beacon tomorrow and Saturday. He wanted the show to go on. I gave him every opportunity to cancel. I think he finds therapy in us being on stage and having fun together. I'm there for him no matter what."
Last week, Andy spent time with Vanderbilt, who he remembers for her “incredible sense of humor" and for being a "great optimist." Cohen loved hearing her "incredible stories," and noted, "She knew everybody.”
On his way to the event, the Bravo head honcho found out he is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He commented, “I cant believe it… I had no idea that was even a possibility, I'm not even on the St. Louis Walk of Fame." He joked, "Come on St Louis, tick tock.”
Cohen was thrilled to celebrate 10 years of “Watch What Happens Live,” saying, “This is just an embodiment of a dream for me doing 'Watch What Happens Live.' Every star that comes on is another little moment of happiness for us.”
Andy is still working on getting more big guests on the show. “We need Ariana Grande, Madonna, Diana Ross – there's a long list.”
When he's not working on his shows, the single dad is spending precious time with his son Benjamin. What's Benjamin's latest milestone? Cohen shared, "He's great. He was holding the bottle today with both hands... that's a big deal.”
