What Led to Bobbi Kristina’s Untimely Death? The Initial Autopsy Results and Homicide Investigation
As family and friends mourn the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, police are ramping up their investigation.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to Associated Press that Roswell, GA police are looking into the “original incident leading to the death” of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only child.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ it is now a homicide investigation, and that Bobbi Kristina's longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon is a person of interest in the case.
Initial autopsy results were released on Monday.
The ME's office stated, “The autopsy does not show an obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were noted. No previously unknown medical conditions that could have contributed to death were identified.”
The statement continued, “Additional laboratory testing will be performed. Subpoenas have been issued to obtain needed documentary information. We do not plan to complete the death certificate or determine a cause and manner of death until all test results are completed and all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed. We anticipate that these processes will take several weeks.”
Gordon, who is reportedly on suicide watch, was at Bobbi Kristina's townhome when the incident occurred, and administered CPR.
Bobbi's rep filed a lawsuit against Gordon in June, claiming he abused the 22-year-old and had been withdrawing funds from her account.
