Diplo Hits Back After Joe Jonas Jokes He ‘Ruined’ His Wedding… and the JoBro Responds
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were hoping to keep their Las Vegas wedding private, but that didn't happen — thanks to Diplo.
The producer livestreamed the couple's nuptials and shared videos from inside the chapel on Instagram!
This week, Joe sat down with the UK's “Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp” and joked, “Yeah, he ruined it,” claiming Diplo “loves his Gram more than a 13-year-old.”
Jonas said there are no hard feelings.“We just laughed," he said. "We loved it. We thought it was ridiculous.”
Diplo clapped back at the comments, posting, "The only thing that 'ruined' the wedding was your fit.”
Joe hilariously commented back with an eyeroll emoji!
Jonas and Turner tied the knot at Las Vegas' Chapel L'Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel earlier this month after attending the Billboard Awards.
TMZ obtained the marriage license, for which they had applied earlier in the day.
Reverend Elvis, the Elvis impersonator who officiated the wedding, told the site that he was booked a week earlier, but was not told who was getting married.
Joe and Sophie reserved the whole chapel from 8 p.m. to midnight. DailyMail.com said the wedding package likely cost about $600.
Sophie walked down the aisle in a Bevza jumpsuit, and Joe wore a gray suit and white shirt. The ceremony included a special performance of “Speechless” by country duo Dan + Shay and ended with Reverend Elvis singing “Viva Las Vegas" on what would have been Elvis and Priscilla Presley's 52nd wedding anniversary.
Joe's famous brothers Kevin and Nick served as his groomsmen and wore matching gray suits to celebrate the lovebirds, who announced their engagement in October 2017.
A source told People that Joe and Sophie chose a Las Vegas wedding to make it legal ahead of a larger ceremony in France. “They had to get married in the States to make it legal, but the wedding is still in Europe,” the insider said.
Earlier in the night, “Extra” caught up with Joe on the Billboard Awards red carpet, and asked if brothers Nick and Kevin were planning Joe's bachelor party. Watch!
Weeks before the nuptials, Nick played coy about Joe's wedding. He told "Extra's" Tanika Ray that the wedding will be “different” from his getting married in India and having two ceremonies, but promised, “They are going to have a beautiful wedding.”
