Deadly Allergy! Why Bethenny Frankel’s Plane Almost Turned Around
Just weeks after she nearly died as the result of a fish allergy, “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel was faced with another potential deadly encounter.
On Thursday, Frankel took to Twitter to explain a fresh ordeal on a plane. She tweeted, “Called airline mult x to say I have fish allergy. Got on & they're serving bass. They couldn't not serve it they said. Then they were turning around which I protested bc it would delay people. Cabin asked to not serve it & pilot made announcement to plane. That was fun. #epilife.”
When someone asked if there were any vegan options on the plane, Frankel emphasized, “I don't care about the meal. Being trapped in a cabin w no windows w cooking fish is a death trap.”
Bethenny went into detail about airborne allergies, saying, “To clarify: some allergens are transmitted by touch & air. Fish is one & is fatal. The more exposure to them, the more susceptible. It's not like an immunity thing where more exposure means less susceptible. It's opposite. I've always kept it quiet but that's over now.”
After her flight experience, Frankel noted that she's asking airlines to “stop serving airborne allergens,” adding, “I'll stay on this until you do. The one that initially refused & pilot who called me out on speaker knows. Cabin backed me up. Plane didn't turn around.”
According to Frankel, the plane didn't turn around because “cabin voted.”
