The Meaning Behind Every Flower on Meghan's To-Die-For Veil
Meghan Markle was said to have worked very closely with Givenchy's Clare Waight Keller on every detail of her gown — and the veil was no exception.

View StoryKensington Palace confirmed that Markle wanted her veil to represent all 53 countries of the Commonwealth, leading Waight Keller to design a magnificent white veil with the flora from each country worked into its design. It was only fitting, since Harry is the Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, so much of the couple's official work will involve each of the nations.
She also threw two of her personal faves into the mix — wintersweet (Chrimonathus praecox), which grows at Kensington Palace, and the California poppy (Eschscholzia californica), California's state flower. Images of crops of wheat are also embroidered on the front of the veil, meant to symbolize "love and clarity."
