Amanda Kloots’ Tearful Update on Husband Nick Cordero: 'Please Pray for Nick'
UPDATE: On Thursday, Amanda shared on Instagram Stories, "The power of prayer is real! Nick Cordero is fighting. He's got the eye of the tiger! Thank you and keep praying!"
Nick Cordero has suffered another health setback in his battle against the lingering effects of the coronavirus.
During an Instagram Live on Wednesday, his wife Amanda Kloots shared, “Nick has had a bad morning. Unfortunately, things are going downhill at the moment, so I am asking again for all the prayers, mega-prayers, right now."
She added, “Please cheer and please pray for Nick today, and I know that this virus is not going to get him down. It's not how his story ends, so just keep us in your thoughts and prayers today."
Kloots' sad update comes just days after she celebrated “a small win” with Nick. Though he's still dealing with a lung infection, she noted, “They pulled out less secretions today from Nick's lungs than the last time they cleaned him out, so that is great news just because anytime they go in there and there's less than before is good.”
“I'm going to take that and run with it for tonight, and I'm going to celebrate that small win,” Amanda went on.
Last week, Amanda revealed that Nick had woken up from his medically induced coma. She told “Extra's” Renee Bargh that his eyes were open and tracking. She elaborated, “Yes, so early signs of being awake are exactly that, tracking. So when we ask him a question, if it's a yes, he looks up, if it's a no, he looks down. He's doing that regularly.”
Nick was admitted to an L.A. hospital in late March after testing positive for COVID-19, and Amanda said, “The doctor told me yesterday, 'Amanda, not too many people wake up after four weeks.' He said this is a great day.”
Some of the complications Cordero has faced while battling the coronavirus include septic shock, "mini-strokes," and a leg amputation.
