Giving Back! Tyler Perry Buys Groceries for Thousands of Seniors
Tyler Perry paid it forward this week by buying groceries for seniors during the coronavirus pandemic!
The mogul picked up the bill for anyone shopping during the elderly and high-risk hour at 29 different Winn-Dixie locations in Louisiana and Atlanta.
The company thanked Perry on Twitter, writing, "Thank you to our friend @tylerperry for paying it forward... Winn-Dixie applauds your love for community and sincere generosity. #StrongerTogether #WinningTogether."
That's not all! He also did the same thing at 44 Atlanta-area Krogers stores.
The grocery chain shared some photos of shoppers and wrote on Instagram, “@tylerperry paid it forward and purchased groceries for nearly 3,000 senior shoppers today at Kroger stores across Atlanta. You can see how much this means by the look on their faces. Thank you, Tyler, for your generosity! 💙"

Tyler is known for giving back. In November, he helped a couple stranded in Mexico after one of them had a medical emergency on vacation. They couldn't return home until they paid $16,000 in hospital bills. Perry picked up the tab.
