Josh Duggar’s Family Confirms He Completed Rehab
After a six-month stint, Josh Duggar has finally left rehab.
In a statement to "Extra,” his family confirmed, "Josh has completed his residential rehabilitation program. We are so thankful for everyone who worked with Josh in this program. It was a crucial first step in recovery and healing for Josh. Josh has now returned to Arkansas, where he will continue professional counseling and focus on rebuilding relationships with his family.”
The family went on, "We look to God for help and guidance and place all of our trust in Him. We are forever grateful for the love and prayers offered by so many and hope you will continue to pray in the days ahead.”
Just before he completed rehab, his family spoke out about forgiving him for his sex scandals. His sister Jessa shared with People, "I definitely have forgiven Josh. It is a process, though, that you have to work through in your heart. And trust is not quickly rebuilt. It is something that takes a while. We love him very much, though, and we are very hopeful for the future.”
In January, Josh's wife Anna released a statement about visiting Josh in rehab and how difficult her life was after the scandals. She said, "Please continue to pray for me, Josh and our children.”
Though Josh and Anna will most likely face some challenges, he will finally be reunited with their children. A source told People, "If nothing else, this is a happy time for their kids.”
Josh's return home comes just a few days before his family's show “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” premieres Tuesday on TLC.
