YouTuber Grant Thompson Dead at 38 After Paragliding Accident
YouTube star Grant Thompson has passed away at the age of 38.

TMZ reports Thompson died after a paragliding accident in Utah.
His brother told the site that Thompson went paragliding on Monday night, but never came back home. After a massive search, his body was found by authorities on Tuesday.
Thompson started paragliding just five months ago.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, they received a call that a paraglider had gone off the radar near the Sand Hollow State Park.
With the help of GPS coordinates from his cell phone, a helicopter was able to locate Thompson's body. On their Facebook, the sheriff's office said, “Detectives were able to recover the paragliding equipment along with a video recording device. We are currently reviewing the video to determine factors which led to the aircraft crash.”
Thompson's Instagram confirmed his death, writing, “It is with great sadness to inform everyone that Grant Thompson passed away last night. Grant had great love and appreciation for his fans. We invite you to share your thoughts for Grant and the channel in the comments. Please do a random act of love or kindness today in honor of The King of Random. Grant's legacy will live on in the channel and the global community he created.”
After hearing the news, YouTube released a statement, saying, “We're deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of Grant Thompson, a gifted, passionate and endlessly curious creator. We send our deepest condolences to his loving family, The King of Random team and fans."
Thompson, who started his YouTube channel in 2010, amassed over 10 million subscribers interested in his experiments, life hacks, and weekend projects.
