Kendall Jenner Robbed of 200K — Was It An Inside Job?
Just five months after Kim Kardashian was robbed, Kendall Jenner is facing a similar violation.
TMZ reports that $200,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from Kendall's home in Hollywood. After realizing that her pricy items were missing from her jewelry box, Kendall called police around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
Law enforcement speculates that Kendall's robbery was an inside job since she had a party with friends on Wednesday night. She reportedly heard an alarm warning her that another house door had opened, but she didn't think anything of it.
At around midnight, she left her house briefly with her friends still inside. She would return an hour later.
Though the LAPD didn't confirm that Kendall called, they revealed to “Extra” on Thursday that officers did a “systematic search” of her home, with “no suspect located."
Sources claim to TMZ that the person knew exactly where Kendall kept her valuables since there were no signs of forced entry.
Just hours before the robbery, Kendall was spotted with her security team while heading out for lunch with mom Kris Jenner in Agoura Hills.
Kendall's robbery happened around the same time that other Hollywood stars were hit by burglaries. Some of the stars to have their Los Angeles homes burglarized recently include Nicki Minaj, Nick Young and Alanis Morissette. Of the crimes, Lt. Todd Hankel of the San Fernando Valley Knock Knock Task Force told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's usually a lone individual trying to service their addiction. This is different. This is organized crime.”
Hankel argues that social media can make you an easy target for robbers, saying, "If you are Instagramming that you are out of the country enjoying the weather in another part of the world, that can help [them]."
