Derick Dillard Slams Trans Star Jazz Jennings, TLC Cuts Him Loose
On Thursday, "Counting On" star Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard posted tweets critical of trans teen Jazz Jennings, including writing, "I pity Jazz," and referring to her as a male.
I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child. It's sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what's on tv these days.

Us Weekly reports TLC has now disavowed Dillard's sentiments — and stressed that he will no longer be a part of "Counting On." The network tweeted that Derick "has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future."
TLC went on to explicitly support Jazz, whose series "I Am Jazz" it has aired since 2015.
Jazz, who just turned 17, has not directly responded to the controversy, but she did tweet that she is "moving forward with love," an obvious reference to Dillard's remarks.
In the face of constant ignorance and hatred I prefer to disregard negative opinions and continue moving forward with love💖

Jennings immediately received support tweets from some of her 85,000 followers.
