French Officials Release Anthony Bourdain's Toxicology Results
Weeks after his shocking death, Anthony Bourdain's toxicology results have been released.
French officials told The New York Times that Bourdain did not have any narcotics in his system at the time of his death.
There was a trace of a nonnarcotic medicine in a therapeutic dose, according to Christian de Rocquigny, the local prosecutor handling the case.
Last year, Bourdain opened up on his past struggle with substance abuse, telling The New Yorker, “When I started getting symptoms of withdrawal, I was proud of myself.”
Last week, it was reported that Bourdain was cremated in France and his remains were sent to his brother, Christopher.
