Rihanna Reveals If She Would Ever Do ‘American Idol’

The stars came out to support Rihanna last night at her Diamond Ball, including the king and queen of New York themselves, JAY-Z and Beyoncé, who had a date night without the kids!

Before she posed for pics inside with Beyoncé, Rihanna chatted with “Extra” on the red carpet about her cleavage-baring black dress and diamond accessories. Rihanna shared, “I am wearing a bit of Ralph & Russo, custom designed just for tonight. And I am wearing Chopard jewelry.”

Her other famous friends, Gayle King, LaLa Anthony, Jamie Foxx and former rumored flame Leonardo DiCaprio were also in attendance. She pointed out, “Tonight's a big night for us.”

Rihanna's close pal Katy Perry wasn't present, but the “Swish Swish” singer recently expressed her desire to have RiRi join “American Idol.” As rumors about “American Idol” continue to swirl, would Rihanna ever consider the judging gig? She replied, “Ummm... I don't know. Depends on how bored I am.”

Rihanna honored her late grandma, whom she named her charity after, at the ball, saying, “My grandfather's here and he's so special… and I've just been inspired by his work ethic and my grandmother's kind spirit all my life.”

The 29-year-old, who is topping the charts with the summer hit “Wild Thoughts," is also inspired by all the stars donating time and funds to hurricane relief, commenting, “I think it's spectacular and I think it really is a driving force because I think people all over the world are touched and they want to reach out and help in any way that they can.”
