Cuba Gooding Sr. Dead at 72

Singer Cuba Gooding Sr., father of Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr., was found dead in his car on Thursday, reports TMZ. He was 72.
Gooding was slumped over the steering wheel of his silver Jaguar, which was parked on Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills, CA. First responders tried CPR, but could not resuscitate him.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they suspect an overdose.
Cuba Sr. was the lead singer of The Main Ingredient. The soul group landed a huge hit in 1972 with “Everybody Plays the Fool.”
He is survived by his wife Shirley and four children, Cuba, Omar, April and Tommy.
