Fitness Expert Greg Plitt Dies After Being Struck by Train

Greg Plitt, a fitness instructor and reality TV star, died after being struck by a Metrolink train on Saturday in Burbank. He was 37.

According to reports, Plitt was with a group of friends on the tracks around 4:00 PM, reportedly taking some video, when a southbound train struck him.

A witness told local ABC7, “He had on all black. The train went by. I saw him stumble over the tracks. He had a camcorder in his hand.”

The Burbank Police Department told People.com that the death "appears to be an accident."

They said, “It does not appear to be a suicide. A camera was seized as evidence, but it's unclear who it belongs to -- the victim or a witness. From the sound of it, he was filming something, but I can tell you that no filming permit had been issued."

The incident is currently under investigation.

Plitt recently starred in the Bravo show “Work Out” and will appear in the network's upcoming reality series “Friends to Lovers,” premiering Monday.
