Donald Trump’s Youngest Son Has Priceless Reaction to His RNC Speech
Last night, Donald Trump delivered his acceptance speech at the RNC with his family supporting him in Cleveland.
Even Trump's youngest son, Barron, 11, was in the house for the historical moment, but struggled to keep his eyes open. Throughout Trump's 74-minute speech, Barron was caught yawning while sitting next to mom Melania and half-sister Tiffany. Since Trump didn't take the podium at Quicken Loans Arena until 10 p.m. ET, it was most likely past Barron's bedtime.
Trump, in his speech, told America, "Together, we will lead our party back to the White House. And we will lead our country back to safety, prosperity, and peace.”
He went on, "Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it. My message is that things have to change — and they have to change right now. I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end," he said. "Beginning on January 20, 2017, safety will be restored.”
Trump was introduced to the stage by his daughter Ivanka, who pumped up the crowd while sporting a $138 dress from her own fashion line. She said about his presidential run, "For more than a year, Donald Trump has been the people's champion."
She also used her personal experience with her dad to appeal to the public, saying, "I have seen him fight for his employees. Now, I am seeing him fight for his country.”
Ivanka said, "American families need relief. Policies that allow women with children to thrive should not be novelties, they should be the norm."
Ivanka emphasized women's rights in her speech. She commented, “He will fight for equal pay and equal work and I will fight for it right alongside of him. As president, my father will change the labor laws that were put in place during a time in which women were not a significant part of the workforce and will focus on making quality childcare affordable and accessible for all.”
With Ivanka's speech, she confirmed how influential she is on her dad's decision-making process.
