The Latest: Man Arrested in Connection with Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter
Steven Sheerer could face serious jail time in connection with the disappearance of Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea.
The 25-year-old was arrested at his home on Friday on 3rd degree endangering the welfare of a child and 3rd degree distribution of obscenity to a minor.
Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato says that Rosie gave them permission to check Chelsea's cellphone. He claims they found "evidence of inappropriate communications over the last several weeks between Sheerer and the minor."
Authorities have also seized his computer.

Rosie reported her daughter missing on Sunday, and turned to Twitter on Tuesday for help finding the 17-year-old.
Chelsea and her dog Bear were found in Sheerer's attic at his home in Barnegat, NJ on Tuesday night. She reportedly met him on Tinder.
Sheerer is being held on a $40,000 bail, if convicted he could face 5 years in prison per charge.
He has a criminal history. Sheerer was arrested in 2012 for heroin possession, intent to distribute and endangering the welfare of a child, however, he only served time for one heroin charge. He was later arrested again for Suboxone possession.
