Scarlett Johansson Stuns at SAG Awards Days After Revealing She Was Violently Ill
It looks like Scarlett Johansson is feeling better!
The actress was turning heads at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, just days after falling ill.
“Extra's” Adam Glassman caught up with Scarlett, asking how she was feeling about the big night. She said, “I'm feeling great. I have never been to the SAG Awards before.”
ScarJo had to cancel her appearance at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Friday, where she and Adam Driver were jointly honored with the Outstanding Performer Award for their roles in “Marriage Story.”
Film festival executive director Roger Durling read a statement from Johansson that said, “I am so saddened that I cannot be here with you this evening. An hour and a half ago I became violently ill right as I was about to leave the Miramar Hotel for the theater. I was so looking forward to accepting this incredible honor and to not be here on stage with Adam [Driver] is deeply disappointing, to say the least.”
Scarlett, who was joined by fiancé Colin Jost, had clearly bounced back by Sunday, posing for pictures in a green Armani gown with a plunging V-neck. The back of the dress was just as stunning, featuring what appeared to be diamond straps. She completed the look with bright red lipstick, and wore her hair in an updo that showed off gorgeous dangly earrings.
The star was up for two SAG Awards, for her work in “Marriage Story” and “Jojo Rabbit.” She told Glassman, “We are sitting with the 'Jojo Rabbit' table. At some point, we will be moving over to the 'Marriage Story' table.”
Glassman also asked about her recent appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” during which she thanked the show for introducing her to the love of her life, Colin. How did the head writer react? “I hope he felt good about it,” she said with a smile.
