Jada Pinkett Smith’s One Big Regret About Dating Will Smith

On the debut episode of Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook talk show “Red Table Talk,” she sat down with husband Will Smith's ex-wife Sheree Fletcher.
Though Jada and Sheree are on good terms now, it didn't start out that way. Will was separated from Sheree when he started dating Jada, who he wed in 1997.
Jada regretted dating Will while he was still legally married to Sheree, admitting, “Because I did not understand marriage, I did not understand divorce. I probably should have fell back.”

Fletcher jokingly answered, “You think?”
Jada continued, "When I think back about where I was, some of my insensitivity, some of my inconsideration in regards to you guys unwinding a marriage… And then me trying to get in there..."
After having some “fighting words” over the phone, Jada and Sheree learned how to mend their relationship to help co-parent Sheree and Will's son Trey. Sheree shared, “Trey comes home and I said, 'How did you like Miss Jada?' He said, 'I really liked her, Mommy.' … Thank you for loving my baby.”
Last week, Jada teased her sit-down with Sheree, telling "Extra's" Tanika Ray, "When we get to the red table, you hear about the stuff that didn't go so well! We talk about our 23 years together in this thing called family."
