Oh, No! Armie Hammer’s Oscar Prep Requires IV & Soup — Will He Attend?
Actor Armie Hammer has been prepping for the Oscars for days, despite battling illness.
Last week, Armie documented his journey to the Oscars on Instagram. Along with a “pain is beauty” chest procedure, he also got a haircut and facial.
On Saturday, Hammer was forced to skip the Independent Spirit Awards because he was “too sick.” With a pic of himself in bed eating soup, Armie said, “thanks to @elizabethchambers I am toasting you guys with pedialyte and chicken soup! Go get em guys!”
Though he couldn't be there, he did FaceTime his co-star Timothée Chalamet at the star-studded ceremony.
He also posted a pic of himself getting an IV, writing, “Oscar prep has taken a strange turn.... thank you @elizabethchambers for taking such good care of me.”
After a day of rest, Armie appears well enough to attend the Oscars. He posted a sneak peek of his outfit, writing, “It's go time... #oscars2018 #callmebyyourname.”
The 31-year-old did show up on the red carpet with his wife Elizabeth Chambers.
"Extra's" Mario Lopez spoke to Armie, who was beyond "ready" for the star-studded event. He shared, "I had my chest scraped, I had my face redone. I feel like the Six Million Dollar Man. I'm bionic!"
Hammer's film “Call Me by Your Name” has several Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
