Emotional Tribute to Gia Allemand Upstages 'Bachelor' Juan Pablo's Debut
Sunday night's “Bachelor” special was supposed to be a season kickoff for Juan Pablo Galavis, but it turned emotional in a segment in memory of late contestant Gia Allemand.
Allemand, who died from an apparent suicide in August, was a contestant on Season 14 and cast member on “Bachelor Pad.”
Watch the clip to see Gia during happier times and to find out what her friends from the show miss most.
Aside from Gia's tribute, the special acted as a warmup to Monday's “Bachelor” premiere on ABC.
Fans got the chance to get to know Juan Pablo, the first non-white “Bachelor,” a 32-year-old single father and former pro soccer player.
