Candace Cameron Bure Confirms ‘Full House’ Reboot: ‘It Was a Long Process’
Candace Cameron Bure set the record straight, letting “Full House” fans know she is definitely reprising her role as D.J. Tanner for the “Fuller House” reboot, airing sometime next year on Netflix.
“It's super exciting” Candace said about bringing back the fan-favorite show. Candace was joined by “Extra” special correspondents Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani, along with dancer Emma Slater, who reunited on the red carpet to celebrate the “Dancing with the Stars” 10th anniversary party in Los Angeles.
It's been 25 years since “Full House” aired, and Candace revealed it took some time to get the show back on the small screen.
“It's been a long process,” she said, adding, "I'm just relieved I'm finally able to tell everyone that the show is coming back. It was a secret.”
Former “Full House” co-star John Stamos let the cat out of the bag on Monday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!” when he said that Netflix picked up “Fuller House” for 13 episodes. No word yet on who else from the cast will be returning for the show, but fans have fingers crossed for at least a cameo by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
