KJ, who played his son on the series, added, "Every episode from now on is for Luke."
Camila said they will say goodbye to his character, Fred Andrews, while Lili chimed in to say, "Saying goodbye to the character and, in that sense, Luke."
It was later announced at the "Riverdale" panel that Luke's "90210" co-star Shannen Doherty will guest star in a special role in the premiere episode called “Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam.”
Executive Producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said bringing Doherty on the show was “something that Luke wanted to happen since Season 1.” He added, “They were such good friends, and when we were putting together this tribute episode, we wanted to make it as special as possible, and so we asked Shannen to do a pivotal, super emotional role. She read the script and immediately said yes. It's very impactful.”
"Extra" also spoke with KJ, Camila, Lili, Cole and Madelaine about their Comic-Con experience, and Petsch said, "It's fun to see people that are passionate about our show."
Lili admitted, "You feel like a rock star for a couple of days." Laughing, she went on to say, "Then you go back to your regular life like, 'I don't matter.'"
As for what fans can expect from the new season, the group said that they have only shot the first episode of the hit series, so don't know what is to come.
Madelaine promised, "We have no idea what's happening," and Lili backed her up, saying, "It's very cryptic."
Reinhart did reveal that Bughead will be up to more "sleuthing," explaining that they will be working with their shared brother Charles and the FBI.
The group also dished on their senior year memories, Instagram accounts, and more. Watch!
