Royal Wedding in Monaco!

Someday, your prince will come, ladies ... but it looks like it won't be this one!

People magazine reports that 27-year-old Pierre Casiraghi of Monaco, seventh in line to the throne, wed heiress Beatrice Borromeo, 29, today in a civil ceremony held inside Monaco's legendary Pink Palace.

Casiraghi and Borromeo had been together for seven years, and were classmates at Bocconi University in Milan.

The wedding was attended by Princess Caroline (Pierre's mother) and Prince Albert (Pierre's uncle), among other dignitaries and close family members. His father, socialite and daredevil Stefano Casiraghi, died at 30 in 1990 in an offshore powerboat accident in Monaco.

The late Princess Grace in her MGM-created gown, alongside Prince Rainier; Rainier died in 2005.

Casiraghi is the grandson of the late Princess Grace, who left Hollywood to wed Prince Rainier in the 1950s; theirs was one of the most lavish and celebrated ceremonies of the century. Grace died at age 52 in 1982 as the result of a serious car crash after suffering a stroke.

By comparison, Casiraghi's wedding was a simple affair with little press attention.

Just this week, Casiraghi's cousin, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the once-secret daughter of Prince Albert who was raised in the U.S., did her first-ever press in Harper's Bazaar magazine. In the feature, she said of her dad, who waited until 2006 to acknowledge his parentage, "Not having had that figure around, I missed that. It's wonderful that it happened when it did, and we've been enjoying a great relationship ever since."
