Margot Robbie’s Emotional Plea After Australian Wildfires
At Sunday's Golden Globes, “Bombshell” star Margot Robbie's heart was in Australia.
“Extra” caught up with Robbie, who weighed in on the wildfires raging in her home country. She said, “Everyone's feeling really overwhelmed, obviously devastated.”
Getting emotional, Margot shared, “I think it's easy to feel so overwhelmed 'cause the problem seems so big. I think the best thing right now is remembering every single little thing is helping, people are filling up water bottles with tap water and bringing them down to the fires. That makes a difference, so I would say to anyone, to donate, even a dollar, the cost of a cup of coffee, it's seriously gonna help. The country is hurting, the country is really hurting.”
On a brighter note, who was Robbie excited to meet at the star-studded ceremony? She commented, ”The first thing I said when I got nominated, my husband said, 'Who else is nominated?,' I said, 'Maybe I will get to meet J.Lo,' he said, 'Is that really the first thing you are gonna say?' I was like, 'Yeah, I want to meet J.Lo.'"
Margot was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Movie for her work on "Bombshell," but Laura Dern ended up taking home the award for her portrayal of a divorce lawyer in “Marriage Story.”
