Chris Brown/Drake Brawl Fallout: Club Loses Booze License
The club where the now infamous fight erupted between Chris Brown, Drake and their respective posses had its liquor license pulled Tuesday night by the State Liquor Authority, reports the New York Daily News.
This ruling took place following an emergency meeting to address public safety issues at both W.i.P Nightclub and its sister club, Greenhouse. Both were the scenes of violent incidents over the past few months.
Liquor Authority Chairman Dennis Rosen spoke of the June 14 blowout saying, "The SLA will not tolerate violent bars that break the law."
The bottle-smashing incident left several bystanders injured, including Spurs star Tony Parker, who suffered a serious eye injury and is suing the club for a whopping $20 million.
Meanwhile, the club owners have sued NYC for breach of contract following the shutdown. W.i.P claims its $264,000 per week loss in earnings has prevented them from providing adequate employment to their staff.
