Move Over, James Bond! Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham Go Undercover in 'Spy'
Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham sat down with “Extra” to promote their new secret agent comedy “Spy,” in theaters June 5.
Melissa plays a desk-bound CIA analyst who volunteers to go undercover on a dangerous mission to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and save the world from global disaster. She teams up with her “Bridesmaids” co-star Rose Byrne on the flick, and stars for the first time with action star, Jason Statham.
Jason said it was a “laugh” to work with Melissa on the film, and said she would probably be the better spy… or Ghostbuster!
Melissa revealed the all-girl “Ghostbuster” remake is going to be “great.” Melissa, along with Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, are set to start filming the reboot in Boston next month, which Melissa said is “just gonna crush.”
Don't miss Melissa and Jason in “Spy,” in theaters June 5.
