Chef Bobby Flay’s Divorce Heats Up, March Wages War Against Settlement Agreement
It's been just one week since Bobby Flay filed for divorce from wife Stephanie March, and things are getting messy between the couple with new reports claiming the celebrity chef cut up his wife's credit card and is trying to throw March and her mother out of their New York home, according to TMZ.
March's attorney has claimed Flay was “bullying through economic warfare” by cancelling the credit card she uses for household expenses, and pressuring her to sign a settlement agreement, the website said.
The couple of 10 years signed a prenup when they married in 2005, and according to sources, the agreement provided March with $5,000 a month for 5 years in spousal support.
March's lawyer reportedly returned the $5,000 check that was received from Flay, and stated, “We regard the support provisions of the pre-marital agreement as unenforceable.”
The “Law & Order: SVU” actress was allegedly the one who asked Flay to leave first, and initiated the split.
“Bobby is sad this situation has come to this and does not wish to add to the unfortunate public airing of very private issues,” a source close to Bobby Flay told “Extra.”
Flay has also not forced his estranged wife or mother-in-law out of the home, sources claim. Per the agreement, March has 6 months from the date of when the divorce was filed to find a new home.
