Bradley Cooper’s Epic Friends with Benefits Article from 1993 Is Going Viral
A 1993 article about dating written by Bradley Cooper for the Philadelphia Inquirer is resurfacing, and its subject — friends with benefit — has social media buzzing!
Cooper, who has become more private about his love life throughout the years, was an open book about how to make a friends-with-benefits relationship work as an intern for the paper. Bradley argued that he could hook up with his best friend Deborah Landes “without destroying their friendship.”
Bradley said, “The reason we are able to cross the line and maintain our great friendship is that we really don't know how to be anything other than best friends.”
Intern Bradley Cooper, age 18, wrote in his first @PhillyDailyNews story: "Can best friends who are of the opposite sex hook up with each other without destroying their friendship? In my case, yes . . . so far." Bold. pic.twitter.com/DDyKIFtNqM

He did write that he “felt dating would be weird,” since Landes was previously involved in a relationship with his friend.
Despite his reservations at first, they hooked up and even went to prom together. Cooper added, “We have simply brought our friendship to another level.”
Cooper emphasized that they wanted to enjoy the time they had left together before they went off to college, where their relationship “will definitely return to a 'best friendship.'”
It is unknown if Bradley still keeps in touch with Deborah. He is now in a relationship with Irina Shayk, who gave birth to their daughter Lea last year.
