Video! Ron Burgundy is Ready for an 'Anchorman' Sequel
"Anchorman" Ron Burgundy wants to tell you to stay classy... once again.
Appearing in character in Burgundy's trademark blazer and mustache, funnyman Will Ferrell told host Conan O'Brien on Wednesday that he will reprise his role as the smooth-talking San Diego newsman in a long-awaited follow-up to 2004's "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."
Ferrell as Burgundy explained, "I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the U.K. -- including England -- that as of 0900 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman."

Most of the principal cast, including Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and Steve Carell, is expected to return for the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ferrell and Adam McKay, who co-wrote "Anchorman," are expected to co-write the sequel as well, with McKay on board again as director. The not-yet-titled sequel will start shooting later this year with a 2013 release date.
