She was the darling of cable news and a high-paid morning-show host, but today, Megyn Kelly's future at NBC hangs in the balance.
Multiple sources told People that Kelly's 9 a.m. “Today” show slot has been canceled following her controversial comments about blackface. Kelly and the network, however, have yet to confirm the cancellation.

View StoryOne source told the magazine that staff was being reassigned, but no official announcement had been made, adding, “The show is clearly over.”
The $20-millon-per-year newswoman came under fire while discussing “inappropriate and offensive costumes” on her show.
“But what is racist?” she asked an all-white panel. “Because truly, you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was okay as long as you were dressing up as like a character.”
Kelly later apologized to colleagues via email, and later on air, saying, "I want to begin with two words: I'm sorry... The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor... Thank you for listening, and for helping me listen, too."
