‘Sopranos’ Actor Frank Vincent Dead at 80
UPDATE: Frank's family released the following statement to "Extra": "Legendary Actor and accomplished Musician Frank Vincent has passed away peacefully at the age of 80 surrounded by his family on September 13, 2017. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Frank Vincent, known for his role on the HBO show “The Sopranos,” has died at the age of 80.
The Blast reported that Vincent's former co-star Vincent Pastore sent an email to friends after learning about Vincent's death. The email read, "i just received a phone call that frank vincent has passed away… ill let all know about the services…we lost a great character actor and great man ..may he always stay in our memory.”
According to TMZ, Vincent suffered a heart attack last week, and died while undergoing open-heart surgery at a New Jersey hospital on Wednesday.
Aside from “The Sopranos,” Vincent also appeared in "Raging Bull" (1980), “GoodFellas” (1990) and “Casino" (1995).
Earlier this year, Frank Pellegrino, another star from “The Sopranos," died at 72.
