Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Just Announced a New Project!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked their last day as senior royals on March 31, and now they have already announced a new project!
The couple is preparing to launch a nonprofit called Archewell, which means “source of action.”
They told The Telegraph, “Before SussexRoyal came the idea of 'Arche'—the Greek word meaning 'source of action.' We connected to this concept for the charitable organisation we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son's name. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon.”
They have big plans, which could include charity work, volunteering, emotional support groups, educational services, a well-being website, and more.
Harry and Meghan, who recently moved to L.A., plan to wait until after the COVID-19 crisis to officially kick off the organization. “We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right,” they said.
Harry's dad, Prince Charles, is currently recovering from the coronavirus in Scotland, and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II recently gave a televised speech to uplift the U.K.
