Blake Shelton Says Gwen Stefani Pulled Him Out of 'a Dark Place'
After last night's live show of “The Voice,” “Extra's” Renee Bargh spoke to Blake Shelton, who had a lot to say about girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
On CMT, Blake recently credited Gwen for saving his life. When asked to elaborate on his comments, Shelton said, “There's no telling where I would have ended up after last summer. I was just in a dark place and literally felt like she reached down and pulled me out of a hole. That's the only way I know how to explain it.”
Over the weekend, Blake and Gwen showed their hot chemistry onstage while performing their song “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. He reflected on the performance, saying, “When our performance came on, it was like, 'Oh, my god, this is so, like, surreal.'”
As for how he felt about watching it, Blake admitted, “It's awkward to watch it together.”
Last night, Blake took the stage without Gwen, performing alongside his contestant Adam Wakefield. He joked about going "viral" with the performance, even suggesting, “Maybe we kiss or something at the song, I'm just saying.”
As to who will win “The Voice,” Shelton predicted, “I think it's gonna come down to between Adam [Wakefield] and Alisan [Porter], but I think God wants Adam to win a little bit more — that's all I'm saying."
