What’s Next for O.J. Simpson?
He was granted parole after nine years in prison, but what will O.J. Simpson, 70, do once he is released from Lovelock Correction Facility in Nevada?
The topic was all over late night TV as Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and others had a field day with the topic of the former NFL star who had been locked up for armed robbery.
Fallon warned, “If any of you call an Uber anytime soon… you might want to make sure it's not a white Ford Bronco. I'm just saying…”
Kimmel joked, “He'll be picked up at the Lovelock Correctional Facility via helicopter and flown directly to the set of 'Dancing with the Stars' or 'Bachelor in Paradise.'”
TMZ Sports says Nevada's famed Bunny Ranch brothel has already offered O.J. a job as a greeter, while there are other rumors he could snag a reality show.
“Extra” caught up with Simpson's onetime manager Norman Pardo, who stayed in touch with his former boss while he was serving time.
Pardo said, “I think O.J.'s had enough. I don't think he wants to go back to prison. He can't hang around with pimps and felons and expect to stay outta trouble.”
Simpson, who could be out as early as October 1, told the parole board he would like to move back to Florida to be close to his family. Ultimately, the board and the state of Florida will have to decide what is best, a big factor being where his support system lives.
O.J. has four children, including Arnelle, 48, and Jason, 46, from his first marriage, to Marguerite Whitley, and Sydney, 31, and Justin, 28, with his late ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson.
Arnelle, Sydney and Justin all live in Florida, while Jason is living in Atlanta.
In 1995, Simpson was infamously found not guilty of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman the year before. In 1997, he lost a civil lawsuit that found him “responsible” for their murders.
