George Michael Released from Hospital Following Car Accident
Singer George Michael is on the mend after a bizarre car accident two weeks ago. The Wham! frontman was released from the hospital on Wednesday and is now resting at home.
"We can confirm that George Michael has been discharged from hospital and continues to rest and recuperate," said a message on Michael's website. "He is well and thanks everyone for all the messages of support."
According to the Daily Mail, Michael fell out of a moving car while on the M1 motorway near London. His friend told the paper that the troubled star was simply trying to open and close the passenger door of the silver Range Rover.
“It was an accident and he is the first person to put his hand up and say 'I'm sorry'. He deserves more sympathy,” the insider said.
