The Cranberries Lead Singer Dolores O’Riordan Dead at 46
Dolores O'Riordan, front woman of the Irish band the Cranberries, has passed away at the age of 46.
O'Riordan's publicist revealed that she “died suddenly” in London, where she had traveled for a “short recording session.” The statement added, “Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
According to The Blast, O'Riordan was pronounced dead at her hotel on Monday morning after police arrived at the scene. Cops are now investigating the "unexplained" death.
O'Riordan posted her last tweet on January 4, writing, “Bye bye Gio. We're off to Ireland.”

Last year, O'Riordan opened up about her life, telling Irish News, “The best time in my life was the years spent at home with my family. I love being a mum. My kids don't see me as a famous person, or have any kind of expectation; I'm just their mum.”
Three years before her sudden death, O'Riordan called it quits with Don Burton, her husband of 20 years.
She is survived by her three children, Taylor, 20, Molly, 16, and Dakota, 12.
After hearing about the sad news, many celebrities took to social media to mourn her death, including James Corden, who tweeted, "I once met Delores O'Riordan when I was 15. She was kind and lovely, I got her autograph on my train ticket and it made my day. She had the most amazing voice and presence. So sorry to hear that she's passed away today x."The Cranberries are known for their '90s songs “Linger” and “Zombie.”

My first time hearing Dolores O'Riordan's voice was unforgettable. It threw into question what a voice could sound like in that context of Rock. I'd never heard somebody use their instrument in that way. Shocked and saddened to hear of her passing, thoughts are with her family.
