How Haylie and Hilary Duff are Battling ‘Mommy Shaming’
Hollywood sisters Haylie and Hilary Duff are putting an end to “mommy shaming.”
Hilary told “Extra,” "It's not to say there's not women out there that don't support other women, but it's definitely something we should all be more conscious of.”
Hilary revealed she's been shamed for things like “how late your kid stays up” or putting “your kid on antibiotics if he has an ear infection instead of using natural oils.”
Haylie added that she felt judged even before welcoming her daughter Ryan in May.
Now, the actresses are teaming up with baby formula company Similac's Welcome to the Sisterhood of Motherhood campaign, in which moms get encouragement, not judgment.
The movement aims to wipe out finger-pointing and subtle suggestions, while operating under one rule: “Nourish each other the same way we nourish our children.”
