Brad Pitt Reportedly Investigated for Child Abuse After Private-Plane Blowup
UPDATE: Dailymail.com reports the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services has confirmed to KTLA reporter Wendy Burch that Brad is being investigated over the child abuse claims.
On the heels of his divorce news, Brad Pitt was reportedly investigated for child abuse, according to People magazine.
Nearly a week before Jolie filed the divorce papers, Pitt was accused of being “verbally abusive” and “physical” with one of their kids on a private plane. Angelina and their children were reportedly present when the incident took place on the tarmac last Wednesday.
It has been claimed that Pitt was drinking at the time and supposedly opted not to join the family in Los Angeles after the incident.
“Extra” reached out to the Department of Children and Family Services for comment and received this response: "The law does not allow us to confirm or deny the subjects of our investigations."
A police spokesperson told CNN, "LAPD is not handling any report of allegations of child abuse for Mr. Brad Pitt."
Pitt is denying the child-abuse accusations. A source close to Pitt commented, "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children. It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
In Angelina's court filing, she listed the date of separation as September 15, just one day after Brad allegedly lost his cool. In the papers, she requested physical custody of their six children and only wanted the judge to grant Brad joint legal custody and visitation rights.
Jolie's manager also released a statement on her behalf, saying, "Angelina will always do what's in the best interest to protect her children. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
In happier times, Brad and Angelina spoke candidly to "Extra" about their relationship. Watch some of their most memorable interviews below.
