Sarah Paulson on Love for Holland Taylor: ‘I Want to Shout It from the Rooftops’
It was a big win for Sarah Paulson at last night's Emmys.
The actress, who was nominated for two awards, took home her first Primetime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Marcia Clark in “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.” During her big moment, she didn't forget to express her love for partner Holland Taylor, who was in NYC for her Broadway play “The Front Page."
Paulson told “Extra's” Jerry Penacoli about her impassioned acceptance speech, “Seems like an odd thing, like I'm not supposed to thank the person I love more than anything in the world because somehow it would be shameful. I do not subscribe to that… I want to shout it from the rooftops all the time that I love that person.”
Since Holland wasn't able to attend, Sarah brought Marcia as her plus-one for the evening. As for Jimmy Kimmel's impression of Marcia on his Hollywood Reporter cover, Sarah gushed, "I loved it… He decided the one thing he did on his cover was Marcia; I felt very very proud of that.” She added, “Marcia thought it was the funniest thing in the world. She texted me and said, 'This is hilarious.'”
One interesting tidbit about that magazine cover: Sarah's hair and makeup team from "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” also worked with Jimmy!
