Mama June: ‘It Isn’t True’ She’s Dating Convicted Child Molester

Reality star Mama June wants to set the record straight about rumors she's dating ex-boyfriend Mark McDaniel, a convicted sex offender.

The “Honey Boo Boo” star, aka June Shannon, wrote on Facebook that she left the man 10 years ago. "It isnt true i promise. My kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."

She also released a confessional video on Facebook, in which she continues her denial.

The man, Mark McDaniel, was convicted of aggravated child molestation, and was imprisoned in June 2004.

MailOnline reports that TLC has shot an entire new season of episodes, but will not air them.
