Ramona Singer’s Brother Dead Following Heartbreaking Accident
Reality star Ramona Singer's estranged brother Bohdan Mazur has died. He was 59.
The “Real Housewives of New York” star confirmed the news July 29 at Jill Zarin's annual Luxury Luncheon, and now Radar has the details on what happened.
Sources told Radar that Mazur suffered a heart attack and “ran into a tree while driving to the hospital.” The heartbreaking accident occurred in Uruguay in June.
Family and friends gathered at a memorial service in Hyde Park, NY on July 1 to remember Mazur. Singer was not in attendance, but sisters Sonya and Tonya were there.
At the luncheon last month, Singer, 60, told Us Weekly “My brother just died. No one knows this… My younger brother, and we weren't close anymore.”
Singer said the tragedy brought her and her niece closer together. “I flew her out… for about a week. And I spoke to her and said that I was really sorry about her dad's death, but if it wasn't for his death, you wouldn't have bonded with [my daughter] Avery and I. So we have this whole new relationship we never had.”
Singer and Mazur were reportedly estranged after he claimed in his 2015 tell all “Aspen, Snow, Blow, And Bo: A True Story” that Singer wasn't there for their mother Veronika Mazur during her leukemia battle.
