'Extra' Nominated for 2019 Daytime Emmy Award!
"Extra" is honored to have received a sixth consecutive Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Entertainment News Program.
We made TV history as the first show ever to win in the category in 2014, and took home the top prize again in 2016.
"Extra's" Senior Executive Producer Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey and executive producers Theresa Coffino and Jeremy Spiegel said in a statement, “Extra is thrilled to once again be nominated for outstanding entertainment news program, especially as we celebrate 25 years on the air. It is truly a testament to our hard-working staff and the show we put out daily.”
"Extra" offers a half-hour edition every weekday and an original hour-long weekend installment. The show is produced by Telepictures Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
“Extra's” Renee Bargh was on the set of “The Talk” just after the co-hosts announced the nominations. Watch!
The Daytime Emmys are where TV judges face off with each other, and where game shows, morning shows, and talk shows do battle.
"The Talk" is up against “The Real,” "The View," “A Little Help with Carol Burnett,” and the queen of daytime talk… Ellen!
When it comes to soaps, “General Hospital,” "Days of Our Lives,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and “The Young and the Restless” will face off for Best Daytime Drama.
The 46th Annual Daytime Emmys will take place May 5 at Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
