Tiger Woods’ Toxicology Report Released — What Drugs Were in His System?
In May, Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after falling asleep behind the wheel in Florida.
No alcohol was found in his system, but a toxicology report has finally been released. In the report, obtained by ESPN, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office revealed that Woods had multiple drugs in his system, including hydrocodone, hydromorphone, alprazolam, zolpidem, and delta-9 carboxy THC.
In June, Woods sought treatment for a dependence on prescription drugs. In a statement, he said, "As I previously said, I received professional help to manage my medications. Recently, I had been trying on my own to treat my back pain and a sleep disorder, including insomnia, but I realize now it was a mistake to do this without medical assistance. I am continuing to work with my doctors, and they feel I've made significant progress. I remain grateful for the amazing support that I continue to receive and for the family and friends that are assisting me.”
Tiger has also agreed to enter a 12-month diversion program, which allows first-time DUI offenders to serve probation if they plead guilty to a reckless driving charge. He can later clear his record by completing all the requirements, such as classes, fines, community service, and other tasks.
