Céline Dion's First Interview Since the Deaths of Her Husband & Brother
For the first time since her husband, René Angélil, and her brother, Daniel Dion, died within two days of each other in January, superstar Céline Dion has granted an interview.
In what ABC News describes as a "compelling" exchange, Dion spoke at length with correspondent Deborah Roberts.
The exclusive interview will air on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, May 18 (7-9 a.m. ET), on "Nightline," and on other ABC News shows.
One month after her losses, Dion appeared at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, emotionally telling her audience, "Through my life, I only had highs from my husband, who sat out here night after night. People thought that I was looking at him, actually, but I didn't need to, because every time I close my eyes I felt René onstage with me whether he was seated in his seat right there, in the balcony, backstage, or at home with the kids. He's always been on stage with me. And nothing will ever change that."
It is an eventful month for the diva — on Sunday, May 22, she will perform Queen's "The Show Must Go On" at the Billboard Music Awards, at which she is also scheduled to receive the ICON Award.
