Kim Kardashian, Madonna, Gaga & More Mourn Designer Azzedine Alaïa
Couture designer Azzedine Alaïa died Saturday in Paris, 10 days after a hard fall, Le Point reports. The Tunisian-born fashion legend was 77.
People reports the passing of the so-called King of Cling, renowned for his slinky silhouettes, has attracted the attention of some of the most fashionable women in the world.
"Simply the best! No one like you!" Kim Kardashian gushed on Instagram. Rihanna posted a personal pic of the designer tenderly kissing her forehead, along with the words, "you will live on forever."
Alaïa offered a final collection this year after taking six years off. He began his career working for Christian Dior, worked for Guy Laroche and Thierry Mugler, and became his own unique brand in the '70s.
