Tom Brady Skipped White House to Spend Time with Mom Who Is Battling Cancer

“Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with Tom Brady at the 2017 Met Gala in NYC. Brady, who looked dapper in a Tom Ford tux, was co-hosting the event with wife Gisele Bündchen, who was stunning in a backless Stella McCartney gown.
The New England Patriot and Super Bowl winner recently missed his team's visit to the White House despite being a rumored Trump supporter.
Brady told AJ he was with his family instead, including his mom Galynn, who is battling cancer. “Spending time with my mom, that's pretty important to me,” he said, adding, “It's been a great year, but it's even better to spend time with my parents, my kids.”
He added, “I can't wait to get that ring, that ring ceremony in a couple months.”
The quarterback is back on the field getting ready. “We started the new season… We will be ready to kick butt here in the next couple months.”
