Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher’s Possible Funeral Plans Revealed
As many continue to mourn the double loss of Hollywood legends Debbie Reynolds and her daughter Carrie Fisher, their family is discussing funeral arrangements.
The two may have a small and private joint funeral, along with a later, larger memorial service. A source told TMZ, "I think this is what they would have wanted.”
On Thursday, Reynold's son Todd Fisher opened up on the plans, telling the New York Daily News, "[The joint funeral] is what we want to do, but we're still working on the mechanics. I'm going out right now to look at places. We like the idea, if it's at all possible. I think it's appropriate."
TMZ also obtained photos of Todd making a visit to Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where other big names — including Bruce Lee, George Harrison, Douglas Fairbanks and Jayne Mansfield — are buried.
Reynolds died after suffering a possible stroke on Wednesday, just one day after Carrie passed away following a heart attack on a flight from London to L.A. Todd revealed to "Good Morning America" on the same day, "She was very peaceful and quiet. It happened very gently."
"She loved taking care of my sister more than anything. So, she gets to do that and that's what she wanted to do.”
Just 15 minutes before her stroke, Debbie told Todd, "I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie.” He clarified, "I don't think she really meant it quite like that, but... she went to go see her again."
Todd also tweeted, "This is a beautiful love story to witness in my 58 years. I miss them both so much. Love is everlasting.”
