Steely Dan Guitarist Walter Becker Dead at 67
Walter Becker, rock group Steely Dan's longtime guitarist, bass player and writer, has died at 67, Variety reports.
A post on Becker's site confirms his death occurred Sunday, but offers no further details. He had bowed out of recent appearances, citing illness.

Steely Dan was a chart sensation in the '70s with distinctively jazzy rock music. They split up in the '80s, but returned to form in the '90s, capturing an Album of the Year Grammy in 2000 for "Two Against Nature."
Becker was also an accomplished producer, with albums by China Crisis and Rickie Lee Jones under his belt.
