Sharon Stone Reacts to Steve Bing’s Shocking Death
Actress Sharon Stone is reacting to the death of producer and financier Steve Bing, who took his own life earlier this week.
“Extra's” Billy Bush spoke with Stone, who was romantically linked to Bing in the past. She said, “This is really hard. I had a really hard time with it… He's a complicated person who I didn't think always made good decisions… It's a tough one. It's a very tough one.”
Sharon also opened up about her own near-death experience, saying, “I was about… 17. And I had a job at Bob's Big Boy… I was filling the iron with water to iron my uniform and we had our well and the well got hit with lightning and the lightning came up through the water. And I got thrown across the kitchen… And hit the refrigerator and I was knocked out. And my mother just belted me — just, like, boom! — belted me and brought me around.”
The 62-year-old admitted she is worried about the pandemic plaguing the nation, saying, “I'm particularly concerned about COVID… I had two tests a week apart and I just got my results yesterday because I ran a fever for like four days… I self-quarantined this last week… And I had two negative tests.”
Doing her part to help, Stone commented, “Today, I'm asking for people to give money to Project Angel Food for people who are shut in and unable to get care and food because of this pandemic.”
The charity is preparing and delivering meals to those in need with Sharon taking part in the "Lead with Love" two-hour telethon Saturday. She noted, “I have worked in those kitchens. And it is great to be on the lines and it's great if you can give.”
The "Lead with Love" telethon airs on June 27 on KTLA 5 at 7 PST.
